Headstart Kids is a non-profit organisation founded in October 2015.
As a registered Section 18a company, we receive our funding from various sectors – business, organisational and private – as well as donations in kind, which contribute to us fulfilling our commitment to early childhood development. We are proud of our partnerships, relationships and affiliations with key stakeholders who are vital in the development and success of the Headstart Kids Programme thus ensuring that our country produces productive citizens in due course.
- To provide preschool children (six months-five years old) of low-income families with a comprehensive ECD program to meet the children’s emotional, social, health, physical, nutritional and psychological needs.
- To enable, educate and prepare pre-schoolers for their schooling career in order for them to become successful, productive citizens of our country.
- In Partnership with our strategic partners we apply metrics to measure the effectiveness of the programme and intervene when children need medical assistance with referral letters to the local clinic.
- Reversing iron deficiency and prevent stunting will enable our children to function optimally and eventually be contributing citizens to society as adults.
